Hyacinth was born to Stephen and Joy Latchman on September 28, 1975. She attended Holy Redeemer Primary School and later Gwen Lizaragga High School. In high school she applied for a part-time job at then Broadcasting Corporation of Belize back in 1992 and was successful in doing so. She also found time in high school to dance and later became a senior member of the Belize Dance Company. After completing high school Hyacinth traveled a bit and later received an Associate's Degree in Broadcasting. Upon completion of her studies Hyacinth returned back home and was hired full-time at Friends F.M. Since then, she has worked as on-air announcer, reporter, news anchor, news director now program director of Wave Radio and is the host of the very popular radio program Millennium Woman. Of the things she loves to do in her spare time: spend quality time with her two year-old daughter Kaitlyn and do research on topics that she is most asked about. She was the first to say that the program Millennium Woman takes a lot of time and effort on her part. She stated that the goals of the program are to promote higher self-esteem in women while educating them about their partners, children and home. Apart from being a mother and preparing for the daily show on Wave Radio, Hyacinth decided that she wanted to do much more for the community where she lives and as a result was a candidate for the United Democratic Party in the March 1, 2006 Municipal Elections. As the party was successful throughout the country so was Hyacinth as she received overwhelming support in Belize City and is now the Councilor responsible for Social Services and Foreign Relations.
